Familion was founded on a simple conviction: entrepreneurial families should be able to pursue their most important decisions and initiatives with institutional-level capabilities – without compromising their independence, confidentiality or entrepreneurial agility. Each family’s needs are as individual as the family itself. FOUNDER OF FAMILION
Dr. Alexander Bergmann
Alexander Bergmann has worked closely with entrepreneurial families and family offices since 2020. He first helped build a private equity and venture capital investment and advisory platform backed by a single family office as Managing Partner. Since 2024, he supports a German entrepreneurial family across direct investments and private markets, portfolio support, strategic projects and the continued development of its family office. These mandates form the practical foundation from which Familion emerged.
His experience spans M&A, LBOs, carve-outs and venture capital transactions as well as hands-on portfolio support. Other roles include positions at Sanofi, PwC and Ardian, among others; he also founded and sold his own company. This allows him to combine institutional investment expertise with an entrepreneurial perspective and cross-border networks.
At Familion, Alexander is the central point of contact and personally stands behind the quality of each mandate. Where additional expertise is valuable, Familion involves selected specialists from a trusted network - tailored to the mandate and in close coordination with the family.
